Lauterbach TRACE32 PowerTools validation with Code Confidence Tools for eCos
November 19, 2012 -- CAMBRIDGE, UK and HOEHENKIRCHEN-SIEGERSTBRUNN, Germany -- Code Confidence Ltd and Lauterbach GmbH today announced validation of the Code Confidence™ Tools with the Lauterbach TRACE32® system of hardware-assisted debugging tools. The combination of Code Confidence Tools and TRACE32 debug hardware delivers a powerful and highly-productive development and debug environment for embedded software developers working the eCos® real-time operating system.
Based on the award-winning Eclipse™ Platform and C/C++ Development Tooling (CDT), the Code Confidence Tools provide a fully-integrated development environment for eCos application development. Product features include project creation wizards, an advanced configuration editor, C/C++ editor integration, performance-optimized GNU toolchains and kernel-aware debug views which simplify and accelerate eCos application debugging.
In co-operation with TRACE32 debugging hardware, developers are able to inspect the lowest layers of application software, kernel and hardware using TRACE32 presentation elements while controlling execution from the Eclipse Debug perspective. Application analysis capabilities include non-invasive code coverage, eCos thread stack coverage and statistical profiling. Real-time trace and performance analysis features are also available (subject to hardware).
"We are delighted to partner with Lauterbach in delivering the power of real-time trace alongside the most intuitive and productive environment for eCos application development." commented John Dallaway, Director at Code Confidence.
"Lauterbach is excited to enter a partnership with Code Confidence. The combination of TRACE32 and the Code Confidence Tools provides a very comprehensive development environment for eCos applications.
